Tissue Paper Flowers

This is such a super sweet, old-school project. I remember making these in elementary school!
My 4 year-old daughter loved it! This flower arrangement is for her dresser in her room. She needed a little pop of color for spring.
 Here is how you make..

Supplies Needed:
Scissors
Tissue Paper
Pipe Cleaners
Floral Wire
Floral Tape
{All my supplies were bought at Wal-Mart, and nothing was over $1!}

Stack 10 sheets of tissue paper together and cut a rectangle,  My rectangle was 5X9 but you can adjust  that depending on the desired size of flower you are wanting to make.
Fold accordion style, short side to short side.
Tightly twist a pipe cleaner around the center.

Shape yor edges. This is what the shape of your flower petals will be.

Here are a few examples of how the different shaped edges change the look of your flower:
Rounded Edges-My Favorite
 Left alone-Straight Edge
Pointed Cut

Scallop Edges then Accordion Fold

After you shape you flower petals, carefully separate and spread apart the sheets of paper by gently pulling up.
Take your floral wire and secure it to the pipe cleaner with the floral tape. This will support your flower and keep it from bending over in the vase. The tape also gives it a finished look.
TA-DA! There you go! A beautiful tissue paper flower.

Bunch them together and add to a vase..  So Pretty!

I know these are different but LOVE these roses!
